Oscar-winning singer and actor Irene Cara has died at the age of 63.

Irene Cara became a household name after her success singing the song titles for movies ‘Fame’ and ‘Flashdance’.

The artist won two Grammy Awards in 1984, and an Oscar the year prior.

Her publicist said on Twitter her cause of death is “currently unknown” and will be released when information is available.
